• Hey Guys, listen up. If you're 17 or turning 18, you're required to register with Selective Service. It's simple and easy, but it's also really important, so you've just got to do it. Federal law says that all men living in the U.S. must register within a month of thier 18th birthday. Registering keeps you eligible for college loans, job training, government jobs, and even driver's license renewals in most states. That's serious stuff. You can register in person at the post office, or just go online at www.sss.gov. It doesn't matter which way you do it, but you've just got to do it.
• The Herff Jones Representative will be on campus February 14th during lunches to take late Senior Graduation Supply orders. There will be a $10 late fee added to all orderes beginning February 1st. Seniors, You may still order and avoid the late fee by ordering online by january 31st at http://www.herffjonesnorthflorida.com. Also: The Rep will take Class Ring orders from current Juniors or Seniors who have not yet placed an order and are desiring to do so.
• Attention all Sophomores, Juniors, & Seniors: The CPT will take place on Tuesday March 8th for Juniors and Wednesday March 9th for Sophomores and Seniors. Due to the fact that March 9th is an early release day, some Sophomores and Seniors will also test on March 8th. For Seniors & Juniors, this test will open the door to community colleges, now known as state colleges. For Sophomores & Juniors, it could open the door to dual enrollment through Florida Gateway College. Study guides are available under the testing tab at www.fgc.edu. There is a reading section, English comp section, and math section on the test. We are strongly encourage all Juniors & Seniors to take the test if they have not done so already. Please sign up for the test in the Guidance Office with Mrs. Richards prior Friday March 4th.
